The @ease System combines the proven FROG mineral formula for killing bacteria with SmartChlor Technology that maintains a consistently low chlorine level for weeks.
Unlike normal chlorine that is used up when you get in, SmartChlor continues to maintain the same level, which is up to 75%* less than hot tubs using dichlor (standard hot tub chlorine). That’s why we call it self-regulating. It goes to work when the hot tub needs sanitizing so there are no frustrating yo-yo chlorine levels. This time-released method is also why less shock is needed to maintain the hot tub.
This technology is so unique it has its own testing method that’s easier than standard test strips.
In 2 seconds, you can know precisely whether your pH, Total Alkalinity and Hardness are balanced, plus whether or not SmartChlor® needs replacing. Simply dip the FROG @ease Test Strip into the water, remove with the pads facing up and shake once to remove the water on the FROG Test Strips. Then hold it up next to the color chart on the back of the bottle to compare colors.
If the SmartChlor color on the strip is darker than the bottle label, the water is fine. If it is lighter it’s time to replace the Smartchlor Cartridge.

Why are the cartridges not available on line. This makes it difficult for the customer. Makes me want to buy a different brand of chemicals.

We have three Bullfrog hot tubs with the classic triangular mineral packs….now the company makes these unavailable without a long drive to our nearest dealer. How despicable that you would betray those who helped bring you to where you now are. No more Bullfrogs for our extended family, not with that king of disloyal treatment of your customers.

I 1,000% agree with Pamela's comments from March 24, 2024 -- it is very difficult to find out where to order the FROG® @ease® XL for Bullfrog® Spas replacement cartridges. When I type in our Zip Code at the top-right of this website, all it does is list off a bunch of shops in our area that, while they are authorized dealers of FROG® products, they may or may not have the exact item. In the year of our Lord 2024, we should not have to call or drive to a bunch of shops to determine whether or not a basic item is available. The dealer we bought our hot tub from is about an hour drive from our house. Solution: We should be able to add the exact items we need to our online shopping cart on the official FROG® website and hit "Submit." I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

I've been using the new and improved FROG @ease in my new Bullfrog Spas A8L since we bought it last year and it's so, so, so much better than the old version, which we used on our old Bullfrog Spa. I like that it sits outside the filter canister but behind the JetPak, so it's hidden, but I can reach it pretty easily. And, best of all, it now actually lasts beyond what I was expecting, like 5 or 6 weeks. The water stays perfectly clear, and I like that it's mineral water and low chlorine, so you don't get any smells or skin irritation, which my son was getting when we used regular chlorine. We still have to put a little dash of shock in there when the kids have a bunch of friends over, but for the most part, we don't have to do anything else. Great product!
