I just tried this product for the first time. Thank to my neighbor's tree my phosphate level was over 1,100. I have a 25,000 gallon pool and this brought me down to 7. Yes 7!! I love that l didn't have to shake a heavy jug like crazy, literally dropped the bag in the skimmer basket and ran the pump 24 hours. Minimal cloudy water, vacuumed dead particles easily. Didn't cause me high pressure in my sand filter either. Zero complaints. I would repurchase to treat and for regular maintenance definitely.

Innovative FROG Pool Pods are a measure-free, guess-free, stress-free way to maintain your pool. Each thin fabric pod contains a concentrated dry chemical blend designed to easily tackle a specific, common pool problem.
Good News — that “powder” is actually the captured phosphates! When the product binds to phosphates, they turn into a solid (precipitate) and fall to the floor. Simply vacuum this sediment to waster (or filter) to get it out of your pool permanently.
A couple reasons: it can take 24-48 hours for the chemical reaction to fully complete; testing too soon may give a false reading. Also, if phosphates were extremely high (over 2,000 ppb), you may need a second treatment.
