Here are 6 easy steps to starting up a freshly filled hot tub with FROG @ease:

  1. After draining and cleaning, fill the hot tub with fresh water and check your Hardness level first. If higher than 250 ppm, ask your dealer for a stain and scale preventer and follow the directions on the product.
  2. Continue balancing Total Alkalinity and PH. Here is a helpful infographic on the steps to achieve proper water balance.
  3. Shock the water with FROG® Jump Start® that dissolves quickly with an effervescent action.
  4. Always start with a fresh Mineral Cartridge that lasts 4 months. FROG @ease Floating Sanitizing System includes 1 Mineral Cartridge, 1 SmartChlor® Cartridge,1 Jump Start and 30 FROG @ease Test Strips.
  5. Attach the blue Mineral Cartridge to the silver SmartChlor Cartridge and twist to the setting for your spa size per the chart in your manual. Don’t have a manual? CLICK HERE.
  6. Simply place it in the water. When it flips over, it’s time to replace the SmartChlor Cartridge.
