The @ease System combines the proven FROG mineral formula for killing bacteria with SmartChlor Technology that maintains a consistently low chlorine level for weeks.
Unlike normal chlorine that is used up when you get in, SmartChlor continues to maintain the same level which is up to 75% less than hot tubs using Dichlor (standard hot tub chlorine). That’s why we call it self-regulating. It goes to work when the hot tub needs sanitizing so there are no frustrating yo-yo chlorine levels. This time-released method is also why less shock is needed to maintain the hot tub. When the SmartChlor Cartridge is depleted, the FROG @ease Test Strip will show a lighter color than the out indicator on the bottle.
This technology is so unique it has its own testing method that’s easier than standard test strips.
In 2 seconds, you can know precisely whether your pH, Total Alkalinity and Total Hardness are balanced, plus whether or not SmartChlor® needs to be replaced. Simply dip the FROG @ease Test Strip into the water, remove with the pads facing up and shake once to remove the water on the FROG Test Strip. Then hold it up next to the color chart on the back of the bottle to compare colors.
If the color on the top tab, the SmartChlor Out Indicator color, is darker than the bottle label, the water is fine. If it is lighter it’s time to replace the Smartchlor Cartridge.

How does FROG @ease compare to bromine floaters or using chlorine?
With bromine or dichlor you experience peaks and valleys in your sanitizing routine. When you add bromine or dichlor, the level spikes; when you use the tub, the level drops. This yo-yo method goes away with FROG @ease because it maintains a consistent, low chlorine level to keep the water sanitized all the time. Plus it’s conveniently tucked away with easy access whenever you need to change a cartridge.
How can it work so well with 75% less chlorine*?
SmartChlor is a unique, patented type of chlorine. It will consistently maintain a 0.5 to 1.0 ppm free chlorine level. This would not be enough on its own; but with FROG Minerals, it’s a perfect combination that kills bacteria with Minerals and a low level of chlorine that create Cleaner, Clearer, Softer water.
How long do the Mineral and SmartChlor cartridges last?
The Mineral cartridge lasts four months or whenever the hot tub is drained and refilled. The SmartChlor Cartridge lasts 3-4 weeks depending on the size of your tub and how often it is used.
Is a FROG @ease System expensive?
SmartChlor is slightly more expensive than dichlor but less than other systems. Been using bromine in my hot tubs for years. This smartchlor is the only way to go! Simple easy to maintain spa water. No more adding chemicals, adjusting ph constantly. This has to be the best way to maintain your hottub.

Nothing but Happy! We've had our spa about a year now. Everything was going great. "Suddenly" I started "burning through" the Smartchlor cartridges. Now not happy, tried to troubleshoot on my own. (My 1 st mistake) Thought the cartridges were "light on chlorine". Grumbled many times to myself. Thought I was suddenly doing something wrong. I finally reach out to Dan. (2nd mistake of not just calling him 1 st!)He spent about an hour with me on the phone. Turns out all I needed was to do a " pipe purge". Easy fix. I'm sure my dealer told me about this particular maintenance thing, but being new to spa ownership, I forgot about this important step. Can't say enough good things about the effort Dan showed in helping me.

I absolutely prefer the FROG @ease Inline System. For me, it has taken the guesswork out of maintaining my hot tub. Before FROG, I had to constantly purchase multiple other products. This system is much easier to use, replaces almost everything I was using before, and has helped me to enjoy my hot tub again. I’ve actually started using my hot tub more frequently now. My advice to those who report their FROG cartridges don’t last: try lowering the dial setting. Depending on the size of your hot tub, start at a low number (like 1) and give it a day. Adjust each day by +1 until you find a number that works best for your tub. Or try reaching out to the dealer you purchased your tub from. They should be able to provide you with some helpful tips.
